Tesla
Corporate BTC treasury · own balance sheet · @Tesla
This is a corporate treasury position, not custody: the BTC on this wallet sits on Tesla's own balance sheet, funded by company cash, not customer money. The desk reads it as directional conviction from a non-crypto operating company — but conviction that has already been tested and trimmed. Roughly $738M, single-asset, all on bitcoin.
The desk's read
The holding is clean and simple to read: $738M in BTC, 100% on the bitcoin chain, no ETH, no stablecoins, no diversification. That is what a treasury allocation looks like — a company parking a slice of corporate cash in bitcoin and holding the coin directly, not paper exposure. Tesla was one of the first large-cap operating companies to do this, and the position is old enough that a large part of it is deeply in profit. There is no trading pattern here to fade; the wallet moves rarely and in size, which is the point.
The important context for anyone reading these coins as a signal: Tesla is not a permanent bagholder. It built a much larger position in early 2021, then sold the majority the following year for balance-sheet and liquidity reasons, and has broadly sat still since. So the read is not 'Tesla is maximally long' — it is 'Tesla kept a residual core and has shown it will sell when it wants cash.' Treat this stack as sticky but not sacred. A treasury holder that has already de-risked once can do it again without warning the market.
For flow purposes, watch the wallet, not the narrative. Because it is a single concentrated position on a well-known corporate holder, any on-chain movement is a genuine event rather than routine custody churn — an outflow toward an exchange would be a real supply signal, and continued dormancy is itself information (it says the treasury line is stable and management sees no reason to touch it). Don't confuse this with an exchange reserve wallet or an ETF stack that grows on creations; this is one firm's own coins, and it changes only when that firm makes a deliberate treasury decision.

Not investment advice. Entity labels are on-chain attribution and can be imperfect; a labelled balance may mix personal, treasury and custody wallets. Large balances do not imply intent — some never move.
